This is a short film created by Shane Meadows which is based in a stairwell in a building. During this film many different camera shots are used such as close ups, medium shots, low angle, high angle, tracking and a long shot.  This creates a very weird atmospehere in the film from our point of view it seems like the character are being watched by secruity cameras in the building but in a negative way as if they are being followed.

 

Sound doesn't really play a big part in this short film the only thing we hear are flickering lights and the two characters walking up or down the stairs. All of the film uses non-diegetc sound. 

 

The editing uses very quick cuts because of how short the film is, adding supense cause we dont know whats going to happen when these two character meet. The only editing effect was the film title at the beginning and the name of the director.

 

The mise-en-scene sets a damp, dark and depressing feel to it. The setting looks to be filmed in a flat and the clothes that characters so that they are either working or middle class. There are no noticable props used in the film. There is limited lighting used in the building to create that strange aura about whats happening as you watch the film.
